Major in Versatility

Our majors excel in careers in politics, the legal profession, business and marketing, human resources, information and library sciences, law enforcement, journalism, public relations, intelligence or security analysis, sales and recruitment, education, and much more.

B.A. in History

Shape the Next Generation

The Social Studies/Secondary Education major prepares students for a career in teaching in secondary schools. Through interdisciplinary coursework, students develop skills to be successful: critical thinking, effective communication, pedagogy, and experiential teaching in public school classrooms.

Graduate Programs

The history graduate program is designed to prepare students in historiography, research methods, and interpretation. Students can select concentrations leading to preparation for careers in teaching and scholarship and as specialists for various branches of government, business, and public service.

History Minor

Minor change, Major value: study the growth and development of human society from the political, social, economic and cultural aspects. Add a history minor. 

Minor in History

History Club

The History Club welcomes all students to participate in History-related activities outside the classroom. The History Club is coordinated by Phi Alpha Theta, the international History honorary, but it is not necessary to be a member of Phi Alpha Theta to join the History Club.
