Aaslestad receives fellowship at Historisches Kolleg

Dr. Katherine Aaslestad recently received an Honorary Fellowship at the Historisches Kolleg, an Institute for Advanced Study in Munich, Germany. The Institute supports notable researchers with a distinguished record of scholarship from all fields in the historical sciences from Germany and abroad.

The Fellowship provides Aaslestad with a three-month residency at the Kaulbach-Villa in 2018, where she will work on her project, “After the Wars: German Central Europe after Napoleonic Conquest, 1815-1848.” Aaslestad will participate in the intellectual community at the villa, which is located directly behind the Bavarian State Library.
