Research Interests

Ms. Faux is particularly interested in using the study of material commodities to investigate different aspects of human history. She hopes to use her dissertation to explore the way that the history of absinthe use in France and French-occupied Algeria brought together issues of colonization, legal and medical history, and gender relations in the nineteenth and twentieth century.
