Research Interests
Ms. McMinn is interested in late medieval English monastics and the relationships they formed with each other and their local communities. Her dissertation closely examines episcopal visitation records from the late medieval Diocese of Lincoln. Parallel to this close reading, she is building a prosopographical database using a wide variety of sources to track and trace the interactions of monastics over time. She explores the interpersonal relationships between monks and nuns as well as their interactions with the local laity, episcopacy, and other visitors.
