Dissertation/Thesis Title:
Research Interests: I am interested in the areas in which politics and religion intersect and the ways in which this intersection affected both the common people and the nobility. Currently I am researching the tournaments of the twelfth and thirteenth centuries and exploring the political purposes they served. I am particularly interested in the tournaments that were held while wars were being fought between regions or countries. Other research interests include witchcraft accusations and trials as a method of social control and political control of religion at both the popular and elite levels.
